Our products

  • No!

    Norway has one of the healthiest populations of bees in the world. Norwegian beekeepers take the responsibility of keeping it that way very seriously.

    There’s no need of medication, but also, it is not allowed. Any medicine or antibiotics are strictly forbidden within beekeeping.

    When materials such as beeswax are imported to Norway to be used within beekeeping, it undergoes strict testing. It is not only tested for diseases but also for residue of antibiotics or any other pharmaceuticals. If there’s a positive find on the tests of either diseases or pharmaceuticals, the entire party will be refused at the border. 

  • No!

    We believe in the purity of what nature gives us, and therefore, that the honey is supposed to be exactly the way the bees made it.

    Also, Norwegian regulations do not allow sugar in any form or shape to be added to the honey. If there are any traces of sugar in the honey, we are no longer allowed to sell it as “honey”. A honey containing sugar will have to be sold as “syrup” and the word “honey” can not be used on any labels or marketing materials.

    Random tests are performed by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority to monitor honey sold in Norway.

  • No!

    According to the Norwegian regulation for honey production and sales, we are not allowed to heat up the honey. If the honey has been heated, it can no longer be sold as "honey".

Payment

  • Yes. We display and accept payments in several major currencies, including USD, EUR, AED, and JPY.

    You can select your preferred currency on our website, and your order will be processed and charged in that currency.

    All transactions are handled securely through Stripe or PayPal, depending on the payment method you choose.

  • Yes. A detailed receipt is automatically sent to your email once your order is completed.

    If you need a separate invoice for business or accounting purposes, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide one.

  • No, we never store your payment information on our servers.

    All payment data is securely processed and stored by Stripe and PayPal, in full compliance with international data protection and privacy standards.

  • At this time, we do not accept direct bank transfers.

    We recommend using one of our secure payment methods — credit or debit card, PayPal, Klarna, or AfterPay — all processed through Stripe.

  • Yes, in some regions you can choose to pay by invoice through Klarna or AfterPay, both handled securely by Stripe.

    Availability depends on your billing country and the payment options supported in your region.

  • Your card will be charged immediately at the time of purchase.

    If you choose Klarna or AfterPay, the payment schedule and terms are managed directly through those providers.

  • Yes. All transactions are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal.

    Stripe also handles payments made through Klarna and AfterPay.

    We do not store or have access to your full payment details — all data is encrypted and processed according to the highest security standards (PCI DSS compliant).

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal.

    Credit and debit card transactions are processed securely through Stripe for the safety of both our customers and ourselves.

    In some regions, you can also choose alternative payment options such as Klarna and AfterPay.

Exchange & Return

  • Our goal is to have happy and satisfied customers. No matter the reason, please do not hesitate in contacting us if there’s anything making you unhappy or dissatisfied with your order or products.

    In short;

    We cannot accept returns of honey.

    For any other product we have a 30-day return policy.

    Please be aware, customers must cover shipping charges for returns.

Order & Shipping

  • Yes!

    As we are sending food items from outside the US, the US regulations say we have to register a Prior Notice with FDA.

    We register a Prior Notice in the FDA portal for all shipments to the US. The Prior Notice is uploaded digitally to the DHL Express system. Also, on the shipment label on the parcel, we register the specific Prior Notice Number given for your shipment.

    You will find a copy of the document in your parcel.

  • We do not collect any taxes, VAT, or customs fees on international orders.

    Depending on the regulations in your country or state, your order may be subject to sales tax, VAT, import duties, or customs clearance fees upon delivery.

    If applicable, our courier DHL Express will contact you with details and provide easy-to-use online tools to complete the payment process before delivery.

  • The shipping fees vary depending on your order and your location. We ship from Nesodden, Norway.

    In the checkout, you will see live rates in USD after you have entered your address. The checkout calculates the weight of the items in your basket and may change according to the number of items in your basket.

    Our shipping rates will change over time due to shipping costs and exchange rates between USD and NOK.

    The below rates are examples of shipping rates (in USD) for one jar of honey. The rates are collected 20th of February 2025. Please be aware that DHL Express charges an extra fee for remote locations.

  • We normally ship within two business days.

  • We display and accept payments in multiple currencies, including USD, EUR, AED, and JPY.

    You can select your preferred currency on our website before completing your purchase.

  • All orders are shipped from Nesodden, Norway, in the Oslo Fjord.

  • As soon as your order is sent, you will receive an email from us with your tracking number.

    The email is sent from mail@norwegianbeekeeper.com. Please check your spam folder if you haven't received it. You are, of course, also welcome to contact us, and we will resend your tracking number.

  • Normally we ship within 2 business days after receiving your order.

    Transit times will vary depending on where you live. We ship with DHL Express for the fastest transit time possible. 

    Below are some examples. Please be aware that shipments to other cities and rural areas might have longer transit times.
